Rules
of Play at Ground Zero
All
professional airsoft sites have the same basic rules. They
are common sense and if you already play airsoft, will know
them very well. We display the basic rules on signs in the
safe zone, and on the disclaimer you sign if it is your
first game at Ground Zero. So what we've listed below are
our own unique Ground Zero "quirks" that you should
check you understand.
FPS
Limits
Full
Auto
350 fps
Semi
Auto Fixed
425 fps
Bolt
Action Sniper Rifle
500 fps
(All
pistols, smg's & shotguns fall under the categories
above)
CQB Zones
Extreme
close-up areas such as inside our village huts, in the
tunnels, bunkers and in the darkness of the fort killing
house are restricted to semi-auto fire (single shot) only,
regardless of your weapon category. 350fps maximum in
these zones - no exceptions. "Bang" kills are
permitted (e.g. gun pointed at person and say "bang"
instead of emptying into someone at point blank).
True
Airsoft
If
you don't get hit, you're ok. Basically this means that
you can hide behind, and use anything as cover. Ammo tins,
shields - even branches if you dare. There is no strict
code of play as to what you can and can't do to survive.
(That doesn't mean you can pull bases to bits, but you
can bring things or utilise the forest).
Pyrotechnics
The
use of pyrotechnics at Ground Zero is strictly
forbidden. Many areas of the site are very flammable
and the insurance does not permit such things. The only
pyrotechnic devices we permit are blank firing devices
such as hand grenades or pistols. The use of any pyrotechnic
device that does not use blank ammunition will result
in being asked to leave the site. Maximum Blank Round
9mm (12 Guage Blanks are Banned).
In-Game
Marshals
We
have lots of marshals, although you may never know it!
The majority are players too, distributed on all teams
so will always be on the field, and close by, whenever
you need one. All you have to do is call out for a marshal,
or go to channel 6 on your radio and speak - this is the
marshal channel and restricted to that very purpose.
Player Abuse
Verbal
(& physical) abuse is not tolerated at all. We have
a 0% tolerance with this type of behaviour. You lose it,
you're off the site. Simple. Ground Zero is a friendly
place with friendly players - we want to keep it that
way.
Littering
Littering
is not tolerated and you will be asked to leave the site
if caught. Bins are provided in all the dead zones and
in the safe zone, so there is no excuse.
Tag
Numbers
Each
team is given a colour, and players are in turn given
tags corresponding with this colour. The tags are numbered
and the number is registered against your name when you
sign in. This is the best way to catch players who may
want to cheat - all you have to do is report their tag
number, tell a marshal, and that player will be called
in for a chat.
Camp
Fires
Gas
cookers, barbeques (on stands), etc. are all fine. We do
not permit open fires however or anything that will damage
the grass on the ground.
